What is Precision Laser Etching?
Laser Etching differs from Laser Engraving in that it is much better suited to line art, and therefore far more suited to Acrylics and polymers, which cannot support the intense detail of engraving. Etching is best used for simple images or signage, simple logos or stylized "wood cut" like images.
How Can I order an etched piece or a numbered run?
Due to the complex nature of laser etching, there is no reliable way to add pricing to an online cart. Each peice must be evaluated individually for its own unique requirements.
To order online, follow the simple steps outlined below:
- Click here to upload your image file(s) to our art department.
(Please, Only upload images in 300 dpi or higher formats. In the case of our laser, the higher the quality, the better.)
- Fill in the size you wish the peice to be etched, and specify a material from the list to the right of the screen. Be sure to add any comments that our staff might find helpful.
- Complete the checkout process by clicking the Add button to the right of the screen.
Note: the final checkout and shopping cart total will show a $1.00 charge. YOU WILL NOT BE BILLED AT THIS TIME.
- A member of our sales staff will contact you with pricing for your project. If the price is accepted, your billing will be updated, and your order will be processed. If not, your order will be deleted from the system.
To order by telephone, simply call our sales department at 530-246-3626 with the details of your project, and you will be given instructions on how to send your image to us.
